Starting your own Business
Greater Shepparton Business Centre begins its 2009 training program with the Starting Your Own Business workshop on Wednesday 4 February 2009 from 6.00pm-9.00pm.
Greater Shepparton Business Centre Coordinator Jo Rathjen said the course provides a comprehensive overview of the issues and requirements involved in starting or buying a small business."People sometimes begin a new venture like opening a business without really understanding the process and what is required before the doors even open," Ms Rathjen said.
"This workshop will start to give some understanding to those people contemplating starting their own business.
"The workshop will discuss business plans, marketing strategies, financing and the advisory services available to new business owners or operators.
"By the end of the workshop participants will have a better understanding of the steps involved in starting their own business, be able to produce a business plan and will come away with the knowledge to make an informed decision regarding their potential business.
"It's also a good chance to meet other people in a similar situation and be able to ask questions."
