The showcase event for Victorian small business

The Greater Shepparton City Council is proud to be a participant in the Victorian Government’s Energise Enterprise™ 06 - Victoria’s Small Business Festival - the showcase event in 2006 for people looking to start or build their small business.

The four week festival in June will encompass over 250 events across metropolitan and regional Victoria, and will create many opportunities for our small businesses to be inspired, informed and improve their management skills.

Business Development Officer Michael Chisholm says a major objective of the Council is to assist small business operators to build their business.

“The Festival provides an opportunity to assist businesses by providing pertinent information and advice as evident by the number and diversity of workshops culminating in a Business Breakfast to be held on 15 June 2006,” adds Mr Chisholm.

Several events will be held in Shepparton during the festival, including seminars on record keeping for small business, tax basics for small business, Workcover and smart marketing and advertising.

For a full list of the events in the Shepparton region visit the Council’s website at www.greatershepparton.com.au

The festival offers Victorian small business operators or people thinking about starting a business a great opportunity to gain awareness and take advantage of the wide range of assistance and information available.

The festival program reflects the energies of a wide-ranging group of community and business groups and government agencies committed to encouraging and assisting the development of our dynamic small businesses.

Energise Enterprise 06 will be a celebration of the enormous contribution small business makes to Victoria’s community and economy.
