Energise Enterprise calls for small business heroes
Nominations are open for the Small Business Regional Heroes Photographic Exhibition as a part of the Victorian Energise Enterprise Small Business Festival and Greater Shepparton Mayor Geoff Dobson is encouraging local businesses to enter.
The photographic exhibition gives individuals currently operating a successful enterprise in regional Victoria the opportunity to build their business profile through featuring in this exhibition.Mayor, Councillor Geoff Dobson said the photographic exhibition looks to seek out small business heroes in regional Victoria and promote their success through an exhibition.
"This is a perfect opportunity to showcase some of Greater Shepparton's iconic and new business people," Cr Dobson said.
"Shortlisted businesses will be photographed in their workplace and interviewed about their business. Their success story will be provided to other media.
"Applicants need to demonstrate how their business is unique, innovative or different.
"I think there are many businesses in our municipality that meet
this criteria and I strongly encourage them to find the time to use
this tool to promote the great work they do."
The photographic exhibition will be displayed at both the Bendigo
Centre, Bendigo between Tuesday 4 to Monday 10 August and the
Atrium, Federation Square, Melbourne between Tuesday 11 to
Wednesday 19 August.
To be eligible, the applicant's business:
• must be established for a minimum of 12 months as at Friday 1 May
2009
• must operate from a base in regional Victoria
• can be an existing, new or family concern
• must be able to demonstrate why it is unique, innovative or
different.
Businesses can apply through submitting the online form on the
Energise Enterprise section of the Business Victoria website. An
article will be provided to the media and published on the Energise
Enterprise website.
Entries will close Monday 15 June 2009. Nomination forms can be downloaded from the Greater Shepparton City Council website www.greatershepparton.com.au. For more information, contact Business Victoria on 13 22 15.
